Gentle Vegan Hemp Soap – Product review.
We have searched long and hard to find a soap formulator that shared our passion for safe natural products that are great for sensitive skin but also created from sustainable and renewable ingredients. We wanted to create a gentle vegan hemp soap safe for all ages, and for those that suffer from acne and eczema.
Hemp Factory was created by trying to find relief, for my own auto-immune issues like eczema and psoriasis. Hemp seed oil became the base for all of my own homemade skincare, and body washes because of its anti-inflammatory benefits for my skin. This is something I stumbled upon experimenting outside of taking it as a supplement for my arthritis and joints. I knew if I could make products with safe all natural ingredients, I wouldn’t suffer from any type of adverse reactions because I knew exactly what was in them.
After a little convincing to run some tests, I was able to convince a formulator that hemp seed oil had to be an addition to their soap formulations. I had my own amateur recipe that I needed to be innovated and professionally made.
The end result is our gentle vegan hemp soap with coconut cream and hemp seed oil, which are handmade and cured right here in Queensland. They are firm and long-lasting, and they smell so good you run the risk of sneaking a little test bite, just to make sure it is soap. Seriously though, most of the ingredients other than the clays are edible. (Disclaimer; We don’t recommend tasting it though… seriously).
How is hemp soap made?
We only use all natural ingredients, (organic where possible and viable). Some ingredients are best left uncertified, purely for that fact that we can source all natural spray free ingredients, and adding the ACO audit cost will make the ingredients too expensive to buy. Most of the ingredients other than the obvious non-food ingredients are actually edible. (Disclaimer; No matter how good they smell, we don’t advise or advocate eating the soap).

Is hemp soap good for Eczema?
Hemp seed oil has essential fatty acids that carry many benefits. It is particularly high in omega 6 GLA, (gamma-linolenic acid) a powerful anti-inflammatory. Eczema and psoriasis are Inflammatory conditions created by an immune response when the immune cells attack a specific area of cells and destroy them to protect the body. Conditions such as eczema can be tackled both externally, and internally by supplementing with Hemp seed oil.
Is hemp soap good for acne?
Hemp seed oil is a drying oil that absorbs into the skin easily, it has a comedogenic rating of 0, meaning it will not clog the pores, and it will help to restore the skins natural sebum production. Acne can be a result of many factors, a diet high in sugar, stress and excess cortisol, hormonal imbalance, and poor hygiene. Hemp also has anti-microbial properties which along with the coconut oil on our soaps, helps to get rid of any lingering bacterial infections they may be present on the surface of the skin.
What is hemp castile soap?
Hemp Castile soap is made up of mostly vegetable oils and soda, the name Castile originates from Castile Spain. Castile soap can be blended with hemp seed oil and other vegetable oils to create a great hemp soap base ingredient. Castile soap will lather up very quickly and can be very harsh for sensitive eyes. It is best used as a base ingredient for other soaps, body washes, and cleaning products.
