Can hemp oil make you high?
No. Hemp seed oil contains less than o.3% tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the psychoactive compound found in marijuana which makes you high. Australian legislation allows up to 1% THC threshold in industrial hemp seed crops, making our hemp foods safe and compliant.
Can you use hemp oil for frying or deep-frying?
It’s best not to use hemp oil for frying. Much like olive oil, unrefined hemp oil should not be used for high temperatures or deep-frying. High temperatures can cause trans-fatty acids to form, and the oil can end up smoking.
